Stay in north Goa- condolim area and beach is the best. Close to all party locations with a good beach and shacks. South Goa is more for a serene and calm time with families - not a place to party.. so stick to north.

My favourite way of describing Goa, since moving here over a month ago, has been to say this: Goa is still living in the nineties. Up until now, whenever I visited Goa (thrice), I would stay around its beaches.
This will be my first trip to Goa (Panjim) with friends.
