In "God Says Yes To Me," Kaylin Haught does not use punctuation in order to reveal a young girl's intimate relationship with God. A child-like, casual tone can be seen through the informal structure and diction in this optimistic, uplifting poem. Students ask questions about poetry. A student asked if it was okay to be.
This poem is called, “God Says Yes to Me” and it is the evidence that God acknowledges women and that they should be themselves. In this poem, Haught ask God many questions and the answer is Yes every time. One thing I noticed is that the poem states, “She said Yes” (Haught 651).
