Godzilla vs. Megalon (ゴジラVSメガロ, Gojira VS Megaro?, lit. Godzilla vs. Megalon) is a 2023 short film produced for Godzilla Fest 2023 in collaboration with GEMSTONE. It is a sequel to Takuya Uenishi's 2022 film Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex, and features Godzilla battling against a new incarnation of Megalon.
Godzilla vs. Megalon (ゴジラ対メガロ, Gojira tai Megaro) is a 1973 Japanese kaiju film directed by Jun Fukuda, written by Fukuda and Shinichi Sekizawa, and produced by Tomoyuki Tanaka, with special effects by Teruyoshi Nakano.
8 Οκτ 2024 · Godzilla (ゴジラ, Gojira) is a reptilian kaiju who first appeared in Takuya Uenishi's 2022 short film Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex, and later appeared in the 2023 sequel short Godzilla vs. Megalon. He thwarted an alien invasion of Earth and bested their leader, Gigan Rex, in combat.
Megalon, a giant beetle from the sea, and Gigan, a praying mantis-like giant monster, are dead set on squishing puny humans. Enter size-shifting robot Jet Jaguar, who enlists the help of Godzilla to battle the two evil Kaiju.
Watch the new Godzilla vs. Megalon and Jet Jaguar shorts that debuted at Godzilla Festival 2023, also known as G-FES. The shorts commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original Godzilla vs. Megalon film and the debuts of the kaiju Megalon and Jet Jaguar.
