Teaching Strategies GOLD can be used with any developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum and is based on 38 research-based objectives that include predictors of school success and are aligned with the Common Core State Standards, state early learning guidelines, and the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework.
A total of 8,042 different raters (teachers) provided the ratings. Each teacher received training in the use of the Teaching Strategies GOLD™ assessment system and rated an average of 13.8 children. The total population of children rated using the Teaching Strategies GOLD™ assessment system was divided into three month age bands.
