Unity in Diversity = Friendship. In this friendship poem, the poet describes friendship as a golden chain. Initially, he compares the friends with gold and tells the worthiness of friends which is far from gold or diamond. Friendships are essential to one's mental health and overall quality of life.
“ A Golden Chain” uses a metaphor of “friendship is a golden chain”. This metaphor is further expanded throughout the poem, as it explains how friendship is similar to the binding chains in a bracelet.
