A golden cape is a tradeable rare item that is rewarded by completing the Golden Cape Hunt. It is created by combining eight golden cape shards obtained during a four-week period between 30 May 2023 to 25 June 2023.

Taking inspiration from our Golden Party Hat Hunt back in 2021, this special event will see players setting out across Gielinor to earn Shards for the new tradeable Golden Cape Cosmetic, plus some other lovely bonuses.
The soul cape (golden) is an item received from defeating the Memory of Nomad in under six minutes. It can be obtained on a reward run and on a non-reward run. It is not received if the mahjarrat aura or any deathtouched darts are used during the fight.
In this case, a couple tips that really helped me achieve the gold cape was the use of a zerker aura paired with vamp scrim. Also, the use of bladed dive is a massive help due to having to run across the bridge multiple times; saves valuable seconds.
They're lovely pieces or content, not least because they're personally meaningful and important to the players who wear them. Dedicated people have even sewn replicas of their completionist cape in real life! It doesn't matter how shiny this new cape is, it can't ever beat that personal connection.
