Customer: My multimeter shows 22 volts is coming into the gas valve when the ignitor cycles. As I understand it, at least 24 volts should be sent to the gas valve to properly open it. I'm worried the problem is related to this.

13 Οκτ 2019 · I have a 20 yr old Goodman furnace that gets to ignition stage but does not open the gas valve. Everything has proper voltage except for the purple wire running from the board wire cluster through all the rollout sensors and up the gas valve.
26 Δεκ 2023 · If your Goodman furnace burners won’t light, the gas supply is cut or the furnace gas supply valve is closed, the pressure switch is faulty and is stopping the ignition process, or the gas burners are dirty.
21 Νοε 2012 · Check the spill/flame roll switches that are wired in series with the gas valve and located around the burner box. If any switches are tripped you will experience the problem you describe. Reset any tripped switches by depressing the little pin between the two purple wires on the switches.
