I applied a warranty claim to Goodman since it's still under warranty. I was told that they don't deal directly to the homeowner but to the distributor, which means that I have to claim it with the installer of the valve and in turn Goodman in turn reimburse the installer.
Despite regular maintenance checks twice per year, I just had to replace a 4 year old Goodman after over $5k of repairs in the last 2 years (and that was just for labor and coolant, parts were still under warranty).
14 Οκτ 2024 · I would think, since it was manufacturer error, Goodman would cover costs, but don’t let their warranty fool you. They refused to pick up the tab, only parts are covered.
It only covers the labor of replacing parts, not service calls. And as I have found out, their reimbursement rates are for parts replacement are minimal. But yeah, if you buy a Daikin, you can get a 12-year P&L warranty.
This company sells defective parts. The parts are defective on arrival. Then they argue it needs installed by a licensed HVAC technician to prove its defective. Just a big run around to sell bad parts, offer zero customer support and rob you of your money.
