22 reviews and 174 photos of GOOD YEAR BLIMP "Right off the 405 in Carson, you can get a nice view of the famous Goodyear blimp. It sits isolated in a wide open field. The blimp takes off many times during the day. Getting a view of it taking off (with its steep angle ascent) is quite interesting.
Where can I find out where the blimp will be? Anyone is welcome to simply call one of our bases to find out the current schedule, check our Facebook page where fans talk about seeing us overhead or simply look to the skies…if we are in your area, we are hard to miss!

The Goodyear Blimp is any one of a fleet of airships (or dirigibles) operated by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, used mainly for advertising purposes and capturing aerial views of live sporting events for television. [3]
Goodyear's blimp base in Carson, California opened in January 1968, and covers 27 acres. It has been home to at least nine Goodyear blimps since then, but with just five different names: the Columbia, the Eagle, the Spirit of America, the Spirit of Innovation, and now, Wingfoot Two.
