Website: studentservices.ncsu.edu. Our mission is to make an NC State education affordable and accessible. We provide scholarships, grants, loans, and work funding to support students and their families. Our staff is here to help as you navigate the process of applying for financial aid.
There are two basic types of financial aid: gift funds (money that does not need to be repaid) and self-help funds (money that is borrowed and must be repaid, or earned while enrolled). Scholarships. Grants. Loans. Student Employment. Financial Aid Eligibility.
The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is responsible for evaluating students' financial need and eligibility, awarding financial aid packages, disbursing federal and state financial aid awards, and upholding policies on academic standards for financial aid recipients.
We connect students and families with opportunities for scholarships, grants, loans or student employment, as well as financial planning resources. Learn more about financial aid. More than half of our beginning full-time undergraduates received grant or scholarship aid in 2020-21.
Apply for Financial Aid. Step 1: Submit the FAFSA by March 1 (School code 002972). The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available each October 1. All students who wish to be considered for federal aid and state and institutional need-based financial aid must submit a FAFSA.
