Located in Province’s Verdon Natural Regional Park in South France, the Gorges du Verdon is a staggering 25km long and 700 metres deep, which wins it the title of Europe’s deepest canyon. The route around the gorge’s rim also makes for a spectacular road trip with epic views of the Verdon River.
It allows you to enjoy the Gorges du Verdon from an exclusive, spellbinding vantage point: the water of the Gorges themselves! The itinerary begins and ends on Lake Sainte-Croix at Plage du Galetas. Kayaks are available for hire on the beach.

Popular hike along the Verdon River in the Gorges du Verdon, the largest canyon in Europe, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department. The route follows the very beautiful Blanc-Martel trail starting from the Point Sublime de Rougon, and ends at the chalet de la Maline.
This trail takes you through the Basses Gorges du Verdon in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. It starts along the old Verdon canal system running alongside the Verdon river and leads to the Sainte-Maxime chapel.
