15 Δεκ 2015 · Plain and simple: I can't open my hood. When I pull the hood release, it pops up a tiny bit, but will not go any further. I can't even get it up enough to see what's going on, then I have to try 4-5x to close the tiny bit of space it leaves when popped just for it to latch back on.
24 Αυγ 2015 · I just finished installing the supercharger and closed the hood for the first time in a few days....and when I went to reopen it a few min later to take a picture the latch is stuck. The hood pops open like normal but the latch you move with your hand doesn't budge and the hood won't open.
If your hood still won't open, you may have a broken hood release cable. Opening the hood on your Mustang with a broken cable requires you to use a coat hanger to reach through the grille and release the latch on the bottom of the hood latch.
4 Ιαν 2021 · Looks like there is a tab of metal on the latch frame that the latch hook is stopped against and that is why I could not move it with a screw driver. The yellow lever is moving a silver piece toward the passenger side that must allow the hook to move just enough to clear the loop on the hood.

5 Απρ 2020 · Anyone with a 2016 Mustang advice with owners manual can advise how to open hood without access to latch from inside car? Car is in storage and battery is completely dead. Neither key fob does anything.
