28 Οκτ 2019 · Mr. Franzwa did a remarkable job of producing 273, high resolution maps of all the routes of the Oregon Trail. The scale is approximately 1/2 inch to a mile. The map bases are Township, Range, Section.
The swift and treacherous Green River, which eventually empties into the Colorado River, was usually at high water in July and August, and it was a dangerous crossing. After crossing the Green the main trail continues on in an approximate southwest direction until it encounters the Blacks Fork of the Green River and Fort Bridger, Wyoming.
Start in the west at: Oregon. Start in the east at: Provincetown. This US-20 road trip route loosely follows the Oregon Trail, stopping in at museums, diners, and small towns from Oregon to Massachusetts.

6 Δεκ 2017 · The Oregon Trail, a 2,000‑mile route from Independence, Missouri, to Oregon City, Oregon, was used by hundreds of thousands of pioneers in the mid‑1800s to emigrate west.
The byway is separated into three parts – The Snake River and Three Island Crossing State Park, Snake River to Rattlesnake Creek, and Rattlesnake Creek to Bonneville Point. Highway 20 bisects the byway at Rattlesnake Creek and provides access to Mountain Home and Interstate 84.
