The Greensboro Fire Academy is a six-month training course. Is there an age requirement or limit to be a firefighter? An individual must be at least 18 years of age at the time application to the Greensboro Fire Department is made.
The Greensboro Fire Department takes applications on a year round basis. Once you complete your online application and complete Steps 2-4, you shall remain in the applicant pool until you are offered a position OR instructed to reapply.
The Charlotte Fire Department delivers fire suppression, emergency medical services (EMS), technical rescue including urban search and rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, fire prevention, domestic preparedness, fire and EMS safety education, and fire investigation programs.
