Each of our varieties is carefully planted to align with its ideal soil type, rootstock, clone, and trellising. From 1999 to 2003, under the leadership of Winemaker Michael Weis, all 54 acres of our Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon were strategically replanted with new clones and rootstock.
Groth Vineyards & Winery Estate White, Oakville. In 1994, our family replanted the Eastern side of our Oakville vineyard from Cabernet Sauvignon to Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, recognizing the potential of the clay soils in these blocks to produce white wines of great texture, depth and complexity.
Founded in 1982, Groth Vineyards & Winery is lauded as the first in the U.S. to craft a 100-point wine. Our family-owned Napa Valley winery has deep roots in Oakville, one of the world’s most renowned Cabernet-growing regions.
