The Grumman American AA-1 series is a family of light, two-seat aircraft. The family includes the original American Aviation AA-1 Yankee and AA-1A Trainer along with the TR2. The TR2 has a cruise prop and the trainer has a climb prop.
Lynx AA-1C Description. Produced in 1978 the Lynx AA-1C was a product of Gulfstream American buying over the Grumman light aircraft. The AA-1C received a new larger horizontal tail and other significant improvements, including an 115 hp Lycoming O-235-L2C high-compression engine.

In 1978 Grumman American introduced the further improved AA-1C with greater takeoff weights, a more powerful O-235 engine and revised tail surfaces. The AA-1C was available as the T-Cat trainer model and as the Lynx more luxurious touring model. AA-1 production was discontinued mid 1978, just before Gulfstream acquired Grumman American.
