GST/HST NETFILE is a service that allows registrants to file their GST/HST returns and eligible rebates directly to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) over the internet.
Certain builders must file their GST/HST returns using GST/HST NETFILE only. Other builders may have to file their GST/HST returns using another electronic method. To find out which method you must use, see GST/HST Info Sheet GI-099, Builders and Electronic Filing Requirements.

If you are a GST/HST registrant with a reporting period that begins in 2024, you must file your returns electronically (except for charities and selected listed financial institutions). If you don't, the Canada Revenue Agency may charge you a penalty.
