I hadn't noticed that my USB Xbox controller was plugged into my PC while I was running GTA V and trying to use my wireless Steam Controller. I unplugged the USB Xbox controller, restarted GTA V, and it was accepting inputs from the Steam Controller right off the bat. Everything works fine now.

9 Ιαν 2016 · I'm trying to use the steam controller with GTA V. I bought it from Rockstar and added a shortcut in steam. The game opens normally in big picture mode. But the Steam controller doesn't react at all! In the game. I can open the steam overlay with the steam button, but after that it won't jump back into the game.

Searched Google and various forums, but nothing was working, finally, after poking around I found the fix in the settings: Right-click your steam taskbar icon. Choose Settings. Click Controllers (at the bottom)
22 Μαρ 2016 · Mods that edit the common. rpf folder in the gta v directory won’t be able to bypass the update check that the launcher uses. Just turn off your internet before you launch the game or use “Mods” Folder feature.
dinosaurusrex86. • 7 yr. ago. You shouldn't need to run Steam in admin mode, try not doing that and launching the game. You also need to use the controller to launch the game from the Steam window, or use BPM to launch the game when the SC is powered on.
Go to Windows search, and type "App and browser control", then click "Exploit protection settings" under Exploit Protection. Turn off "Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR). Then restart your computer. Now open Steam, then play GTA 5, the Social Club should update and work now. Thank me later :)
