18 Ιουν 2024 · On June 13, 2023 we began phasing in premium processing for applicants seeking a change of status to F-1, F-2, M-1, M-2, J-1, or J-2 status, who have a pending Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status. Online filing of Form I-907 is also available to these applicants.
30 Οκτ 2024 · This rule adjusts non-premium fees on the USCIS fee schedule (see Form G-1055, Fee Schedule) and changes certain other immigration filing requirements. The January 2024 fee rule does incorporate the premium fee increases made in the December 2023 premium processing fee rule.
We recommend that you use USCIS premium processing for change of status or new H-1B cases where the start date is less than 4 months from the time your complete H-1B request is submitted to BIO in International Scholar Dossier (ISD).
For H-1 petitions, however, the Premium Processing fee must be paid by the department if payment by the employee would cause the net salary amount to drop below the prevailing wage. For all types, the use of Premium Processing guarantees a response from USCIS within fifteen business days.
