To renew a MD medical license a physician will need to meet the following CME requirements: 100 total credit hours in a two-year license renewal period ending December 31. At least 20 credits must be AMA PRA Category 1; At least 12 credits in the areas of approved patient safety or risk management content (either Category 1 or Category 2).
In addition, registration renewal coupons with an April 2017 expiration date or later will include both the one-year and the two-year registration fees. If the fee listed in the “2-yr fee” block on the registration renewal form is shaded gray that vehicle type is not eligible to renew for a two-year period.
