The Shield of Chaos has 4 Aspects: Zagreus, Chaos, Zeus, and Beowulf. Like all other weapons, each Aspect has 5 levels that can be unlocked by spending Titan Blood . The higher the level of the Aspect, the more effective its improvement is.
My favourite shield build is Poseidon knockback. Get as much extra wall damage as possible plus the damage waves on wall hit, make sure your attack has extra knockback, and watch enemies slam into walls and explode.
