28 Φεβ 2024 · The Hammock Gear Economy Burrow 20 is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable, packable, full-featured quilt for hammock or ground sleeping on the warm side of three-season conditions. We were really impressed with how well it worked, especially given how much cheaper the Burrow is compared to very similar products.
We have combined our Premium and Economy Burrow into one product, the Burrow. Made with 10 or 20 denier ripstop nylon fabric that features a DWR (durable water resistant) coating to help shed moisture, and an internal calendared finish for down proof construction.
PROS. Competitively priced ultralight backpacking quilt. Premium quality manufacturing. 20-denier fabric is more durable than ultralight 10-denier. Optional overfill (which can help improve lifespan) CONS. A few ounces heavier than quilts using top of the line 900+ fill power down.
5 Απρ 2024 · The Hammock Gear Economy Burrow Quilt (“Econ Burrow”) is a fantastic value for a high-quality top quilt and perfectly suited as a hammock top quilt for the backpacker who doesn’t mind a few extra ounces in exchange for a much lower price.
The HG Econ Burrow gives you a chance to trim 20 ounces at the same or lower cost. The only thing you give up is maybe a couple of degrees comfort rating, and that coming from a lifetime mummy bag user.
29 Μαρ 2014 · I think it would suit me well inside a hammock, however, my equally rated synthetic EE quilt with wider dimensions in both directions actually weighs 1.5 oz less, so there is no real reason for me to use the HG burrow anyway…
I've got a couple burrows (a 40* and a 20*), all purchased before they came out with the Econ line and really like them. Definitely get the wide, as the standard width is designed for hammockers who use an underquilt that wraps around and covers the sides.
