The Sit and reach test is one of the linear flexibility tests which helps to measure the extensibility of the hamstrings and lower back. It was initially described by Wells and Dillon in 1952 and is probably the most used flexibility test.
31 Αυγ 2018 · The authors present grip-strength reference values using summary statistics (mean, standard deviation, and percentile). The mean grip strength ranged from 49.7 kg for the dominant hand of men 25 to 29 years of age to 18.7 kg for the nondominant hand of women 75 to 79 years of age.
The following variables were included from each relevant study: age group (e.g. 20–24 years), gender (male, female), tested side (left, right), sample size, mean grip force (in pounds), and standard deviation of grip force (in pounds).
The ACSM bench press norms have been described as being disproportionately high for women aged 20–29 years, while the ACSM leg press norms have been questioned as being disproportionately low for the same age group.

86 to 129 N (mean 2 SD), which indicates that grip measurements may vary by up to 215 N between instruments. Conclusions: The study yielded population reference ranges of peak, average, and final strength over a 10-second grip assessment using an electronic dynamometer.
