This beach is located in South Maui in the town of Kihei and is the ONLY beach (that I know of) that has a FREE beach wheelchair on the island. The lifeguards told me it was purchased by the community for a paralyzed man but is available on a first-come-first-served basis.

While there aren’t a ton of accessible beaches on Maui, there are a couple good options. Arriving early in the day is always best as the car park fills up fast. Most beaches on the island do not have free beach wheelchairs, so it’s best to rent one, which can be done from Gammie’s Homecare.

17 Ιουν 2021 · Wailea Beach is filled with large white sand that gently slopes inviting accessible beach wheelchair use. If you’re not staying in a nearby resort, there is a large public parking area nearby. Showers and restrooms are available, no lifeguards are on duty at Wailea Beach.
