Hawaii Dog Foundation is an all-volunteer rescue group that finds safe, loving homes for Oahu’s stray and unwanted dogs. Our dogs all live in foster homes with families, so there is no shelter that you can visit. Instead, we hold Adoption Events / Meet & Greets on a regular basis to meet our dogs.
Hawaii Dog Foundation is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group that finds safe, loving homes for Oahu’s stray and unwanted dogs. STEP 1 in the adoption process is the HDF Adoption Application. We ask that you complete the online adoption application to help us identify dogs that would be a good fit for your lifestyle and dog ownership experience.
We can only help as many dogs as we have volunteers and donations, so your help is much needed and greatly appreciated! Our plan is to continue taking in homeless dogs; to use our network of foster families to care for these dogs; and then to find permanent, loving homes for them.
Please click the button below to read the H.A.R.F. Center Foster Manual. Please print and sign the first page and bring it with you when you pick up your foster animal. Please not that all adoptions are approved by and must go through Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation, not the foster parent.
