14 Ιουλ 2021 · The latest version of the Hazardous Materials Markings, Labeling and Placarding Guide includes the following changes: Addition of the Lithium Battery handling marking old and new, and the transition date of December 31, 2018 for the old version. Addition of the Class 9 Label for Lithium battery handling with an effective date of January 2019.
Any person who offers a hazardous material for transportation MUST label the package, if required [§172.400(a)]. • Placards may be displayed for a hazardous material, even when not required, if the placarding otherwise conforms to the requirements of Subpart F of Part 172.

It shall be noted that additional environmentally hazardous substance mark (dead fish) shall be put on outer package for class 9 dangerous goods assigned with UN 3077 and UN 3082.
