19 Νοε 2020 · I forgot to add in that you only need the audio extractor if you are using your Astros for your PC. (discord, streaming, etc.) Make sure you check the supported resolutions of anything you buy...
In my experience any audio extractor I have tried breaks adaptive sync or vrr but there’s dozens of them on Amazon that are functional that can pass a 4k60 signal albeit without the stuff above.
If you are using av receiver you can use your stereo system through hdmi. Only headphone amps are not working. The only solution is to use tv’s optical out if you have, but for me it’s not an option, because I’m using a monitor (without optical output). And you can use hdmi audio splitter.
I have a ASUS VP28UQG which has Freesync 1, but not sure it is compatible with the Series X VRR over HDMI at 4K@60Hz. It definitely isn't working now as I see a little bit of screen tearing during AC cutscenes.

I currently use the SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDac. I connect it thru an optical cable from my Xbox One S to the GameDac which thru USB is plugged into my laptop so I can use Discord and get audio from both my laptop and Xbox at the same time.
