16 Ιαν 2023 · I have an 2021 MacBook Pro M1 which I occasionally hook up to my AV Receiver (Yamaha RXA820). The receiver support HMDI 2.0 and Dolby Digital Plus (EC3). However I only seem to be able to output Dolby Digital audio content (AC3) to the receiver. EC3 is not recognized and then it reverts to PCM.

15 Φεβ 2017 · I solved this issue with my 2012 i7 mini by using a mini DV to HDMI adapter after the existing HDMI port stopped working. Now I have to figure out WHY it stopped working. But in the mean time.. the adapter to HDMI works perfectly.
