The CYSHCNSS assists families in paying medical bills for children with severe chronic illnesses and/or physical disabilities, between birth and up to 21 years of age, who live in New York State and meet county's medical and financial eligibility criteria.

This directory can point you in the right direction, but it can't answer all your questions. Medicaid is a program for New Yorkers who can't afford to pay for medical care. Medicaid pays for a number of services, but some may not be covered for you because of your age, financial circumstances, family situation, transfer of resource requirements, or living arrangements.
