21 Ιουλ 2016 · Calculate the heat index from the temperature and humidity (either relative humidity or dew point), or use a simple heat-index conversion chart.
This calculator estimates heat index temperature felt by the human body based on the actual measured air temperature together with humidity level or dew point.
heat index °f (°c) The heat index is an accurate measure of how hot it really feels when the affects of humidity are added to high temperature. RELATIVE HUMIDITY (%)
Interactive map of apparent temperature, also known as 'feels like' temperature or 'heat index'.
We use this table to provide you with Heat Index values. These values are for shady locations only. Exposure to full sunshine can increase heat index values by up to 15°F (8°C). Also, strong winds, particularly with very hot, dry air, can be extremely hazardous as the wind adds heat to the body.
Heat index chart. In order to determine the heat index using the chart above, you need to know the air temperature and the relative humidity. For example, if the air temperature is 100 ° F and the relative humidity is 55%, the heat index will be 124 ° F.
The results provided on this page are based on the Extended Heat Index , a corrected and extended version of National Weather Service (NWS) Heat Index derived by Lu and Romps (2022). A simplified version of the index is presented in the table below.
