Hellstone Bars are bars crafted from Hellstone and Obsidian. They are used to craft some of the most powerful equipment available pre-Hardmode, and remain useful, if not necessary, in dealing with the shift in difficulty upon entering Hardmode.
The Calamity Mod currently adds 9 different bar types. Most bars are crafted with their respective ores, but the exceptions are Astral, Auric, and Shadowspec Bars, requiring additional materials; and Cosmilite Bars, dropped directly by the The Devourer of Gods.
Hellstone is the only ore in the game whose bar requires a material in addition to its ore to smelt. In the real world, silver nitrate is sometimes called "Hellstone". In 1.0, Hellstone was considered an endgame ore.
It takes a total of 45 Hellstone Bars to craft a full set of Molten armor, or 135 Hellstone and 45 Obsidian.
I recently beat slime god so I went to make a hellevator for hellstone. But when I got to hell, I got a "Heat exhaustion" debuff that didn't do anything at first, but then I got hit by a fuck-ton of de-buffs and died. How do I get around this???

(you can use Reaver Shark in 1.3) 3.Go To The Underworld. 4.Find Hellforge (from under world buildings) and Obsidian (Mix Lava and Water ) 5.Drink the Obsidian Skin Potion and mine the Hellstone.
