Hellstone Bars are bars crafted from Hellstone and Obsidian. They are used to craft some of the most powerful equipment available pre-Hardmode, and remain useful, if not necessary, in dealing with the shift in difficulty upon entering Hardmode.
Excluding true melee, it has best dps for post skeletron hardmode, post golem - ml, post dog - endgame with autoaim (minions attack by themselves so you can focus on dodging). Rogue on the other hand has similar defence, inconsistent dps, almost to autoaim weapons and requires a high skill to be used effectively.
There is no best class, the mod is carefully balanced (tries to be anyway) so that every class is equally good at every point in the game, with different play styles and stats to boot. It's all ultimately down to your preference.
Melee, it's the most saturated class and has the best gear and the most fun progression, it's THE class for calamity

9 Ιουλ 2023 · Melee: Good for defense but dies so easily and hard to kill bosses that retreat. Ranger: Good for range but almost no damage and constant worry for ammo. Mage: Good damage and range but annoying for mana potions. Summoner: Good damage but like zero defense.
