Hellstone Bars are bars crafted from Hellstone and Obsidian. They are used to craft some of the most powerful equipment available pre-Hardmode, and remain useful, if not necessary, in dealing with the shift in difficulty upon entering Hardmode.
Hellstone is the only ore in the game whose bar requires a material in addition to its ore to smelt. In the real world, silver nitrate is sometimes called "Hellstone". In 1.0, Hellstone was considered an endgame ore.

I recently beat slime god so I went to make a hellevator for hellstone. But when I got to hell, I got a "Heat exhaustion" debuff that didn't do anything at first, but then I got hit by a fuck-ton of de-buffs and died. How do I get around this???

17 Ιαν 2021 · #1. 1.Craft An Obsidian Skin Potion and bring a water bucket. 2. Craft A Evil Biome or stronger pickaxe. (you can use Reaver Shark in 1.3) 3.Go To The Underworld. 4.Find Hellforge (from under world buildings) and Obsidian (Mix Lava and Water ) 5.Drink the Obsidian Skin Potion and mine the Hellstone.
Long answer. Mine Hellstone (preferably with an obsidian skin potion) to get hellstone ore. Dig a route for water to flow onto a underground lava pool to get obsidian (Don't do this in underworld because the water will disappear) Get a hellforge (The big glowy boxes in the buildings in the underworld)
