"Genesis" is the pilot episode of the NBC superhero drama series Heroes. It was directed by David Semel and written by Tim Kring. The episode focuses on several of the main characters discovering their superpowers for the first time, and attempting to find out more about them.

This unaired pilot, a full 72 minutes as shown at Comic-Con in 2006, was later cut to a shorter version, simply titled In His Own Image. That version would eventually be trimmed to become what is now Genesis.
