Heroes are the basic building blocks in Heroes of Gaia. Hero stats add to army attack strength, army defense strength, the speed of a unit, and the overall size of the army. The total number of heroes that a player may have is determined by player rank.
Heroes of Gaia is a browser MMOG. This means you don't need to download a client; the game uses Flash in a browser window. It is a war game, meaning while there are quests and computer-controlled threats to test yourself against, the ultimate aim is to defeat other players.
First, you can research various things in your magic tower, you can capture mines on the main map, and you can attack various monsters, items, and resource piles on the main map. We'll get to all of that later, though.
