Hickory Hills Park is a unique area both in terms of its natural beauty and strategic location. The park’s 723 acres include one of the area’s unusual geologic features: a paha. Paha is a Native American word meaning high ground.

Experience this 2.6-mile loop trail near Iowa City, Iowa. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 2 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.
Big park with nice hiking trails. Easy parking and access to picnic shelters and seating. Some interesting information markers on some trails but no map of trails so got a bit confused. At one point I wound up in the cemetery which adjoins one end of the park.
