The DHS promotes an understanding and appreciation of the history of Davidson, North Carolina and its surrounding area. The town of Davidson was founded with the establishment of Davidson College in 1837.

Events. The DHS is proud to offer programs to educate the public on local history. Our programs include lectures, tours of historic properties, walking tours, etc. DHS is always looking for new ways to promote local history. All our events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.
Davidson is a suburban town located in Iredell and Mecklenburg counties, North Carolina, United States, on the banks of Lake Norman. It is a suburb in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The population was 10,944 at the 2010 census, [5] and in 2019 the estimated population was 13,054. [6]
