No other outcome of a race in Hollywood Park's history delivered such surprise. Clearly, plenty of great racing happened within the venue's walls, but Hollywood Park long stood as an innovator in Thorughbred racing. For example, racing fans were treated to a new wager called the exacta in 1971.
