Homer Jr. is the son of Gretchen and Chase. He was delivered by Homer in "Labor Pains". He was named after Homer delivered him in an elevator. Homer became very attached to him until Marge stopped Homer from seeing Junior, after Junior tries to kill Maggie at the zoo.
Along with the Simpson family, The Simpsons includes a large array of characters: co-workers, teachers, family friends, extended relatives, townspeople, local celebrities. The creators originally intended many of these characters as one-time jokesters or for fulfilling needed functions in the town.

Patty and Selma Bouvier, Marge's sisters, who have rough voices and often smoke cigarettes. Note that in one episode, Patty is revealed to be a lesbian.
