20 Δεκ 2016 · This can cause the auger clutch lever to not be held down in the locked position. Honda has updated the design of the ratchet lever and pivot bolt, and included a small collar to prevent binding and resolve the problem.
30 Απρ 2007 · You might try gentle pressure on the clutch lever with your finger on the slave cylinder piston and see if you feel just the slightest bit of movement, but no more. That would be a sign that your hydraulics are in good condition.
20 Μαρ 2013 · I can fire it up, pull in the clutch, and kick it into gear only to stall the bike. Upon inspection, It looks like the throwout arm contacts the small button in the middle of the basket. When this occurs, the clutch SHOULD disengage and allow the rider to place the bike into gear.
22 Αυγ 2008 · I bought a 2000 XR 100 that sat for 4 years. I'm guessing about 3000 miles on it. After a tear down and restoration, I'm having trouble adjusting the clutch. It appears to be engaged all the time. If I pull in the clutch lever, it doesn't disengage even through the cable is tight.
Be applying solid pressure on the ratchet/bar head to keep it straight and on the nut. Catch the bar just below the hammer head where the metal meets handle to keep it safe. If the nut is tightened below 50ft/lbs it'll come undone after 2 or 3 solid whacks.
