11 Ιουν 2023 · The Elite products are in a black bottle and more $$. I've never used either. I have read about the synthetic being sticky, and the Elite being runny. There are claims that the Elite oil will damage nitron finishes. I'm happy with the regular Hoppe's stuff, and I like the smell.

20 Φεβ 2006 · When I hit the sporting goods store to buy more, the Hoppes Elite equivalent products caught my eye. They claim to work more quickly, have no petroleum distillates or amonia, and are relatively safer to use and scent free.
1 Σεπ 2011 · It has worked beautifully so far, but I'm curious as to whether or not No. 9 has any ill effect if left on the gun. It bills itself as a solvent, not a lubricator. Could I experience any nastiness by missing a spot? The Elite Oil is working spectacularly!
15 Μαρ 2008 · Hoppes makes a variety of products, and a couple different gun oils. Given the choice I would use the hoppes for fine lubrication and the rem-oil for more general purpose stuff, or maybe spraying down an action.
7 Απρ 2005 · From reviews on the internet and at MidwayUSA, I came across M-PRO-7, now sold by Hoppes as their "Elite" line. I bought the GEL bore cleaner, the spray cleaner and the oil. My thoughts:
After putting Hoppe's Oil on it, it would travel with no resistance, even with the nozzle hole blocked. So, I wiped all the oil off and tried again, and viola, perfect seal. Switched to silicon oil and it worked fine.
