17 Ιουλ 2017 · On my YouTube channel, a subscriber said that he had been in touch with Smith and they told him not to clean his snubbie revolvers with No. 9 Hoppes. They never gave a really good reason other than it might mess up the finish. Any insight on this would be appreciated.

Hoppes 9 is the definition of “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” saying in the gun oil industry. Hoppes has been around since 1903 and has repeatedly proven its merit on this list. Old faithful!
22 Ιουλ 2009 · I tried the allmost oderless solvent and found it to work just fine. Its not that i mind the smell of good ol number 9 but the new stuff seemed to work just as good with barely any scent.
15 Μαρ 2008 · Hoppes makes a variety of products, and a couple different gun oils. Given the choice I would use the hoppes for fine lubrication and the rem-oil for more general purpose stuff, or maybe spraying down an action.
