30 Αυγ 2005 · The Time Windows manage to pump out some clean bass down to around 40 Hz, and in my modest living room, they sound spectacular, as good as the sound of the recordings or signals they are fed. I wish I could see a similar design utilizing modern drivers from SEAS or Scanspeak.
17 Μαΐ 2006 · There were a bunch of versions of the Timewindows over a long, long timeframe (into the 1990's, if not beyond). You can look at PDF manuals of the later ones at the DCM website. http://www.dcmspeakers.com/manuals/manuals.htm. The later timewindows had lots of drivers.
4 Μαρ 2021 · They also make a very good side surround speaker, but I prefer traditional cardioid polar response for the front channels in a surround system. There were a number of versions, the first simply called DCM Time Window or Time Window (Improved), like mine.
The driver surrounds are butyl rubber and are rarely subject to rotting. They’ve a huge soundstage and are designed with a phase aligned crossover. In terms of models, the “1a” is the most common and is a great speaker. The “3” and “7” are even better but are far more rare. They’re all definitely full range speakers.
11 Μαΐ 2009 · I just scored a pair of DCM Time Window 3 in near mint condition on ebay. I read a lot about these speakers but never really listened to a pair. How good are they?
15 Σεπ 2002 · DCM no longer produces the Time Windows,having opted for the HT route. This is a true shame as these speakers deserve continued production. Timeless design is just that. Specifications: Dimensions:36"H x 14 3/4"W x 11 3/4"D. Weight:32 Pounds. Power Requirements:10 Watts Minimum per channel 89 dB/watt at one meter;200 Watts Maximum.
