A wild-caught orca, captured at about the age of four, now lives at SeaWorld California and is approaching its 60th birthday.

22 Οκτ 2024 · Orca Encounter at SeaWorld Orlando. Orca Encounter is an outdoor presentation of the Killer Whales and all their glory. This 30-minute show is filled with demonstrations of Orca Whales and their behaviors, which mimic hunting and working together to accomplish tasks.
How long is the killer whale show at SeaWorld? The Orca Encounter show is approximately 25 to 30 minutes in length and features a video presentation about killer whales as well as live trainers interacting with the orcas.
Our killer whale habitats are among the largest in the world today. They are multi-million-gallon environments of continually chilled and filtered saltwater. In fact, SeaWorld Orlando’s habitat is 36 feet deep and holds more than 6 million gallons!
23 Jul 2015. A new peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Mammalogy by the Oxford University Press adds important insights to the debate over how long killer whales in human care live. The study found no difference in life expectancy between killer whales born at SeaWorld and a well-studied population of wild killer whales.
