The wrist or carpus consists of eight small irregular bones arranged in two rows of four. Proximal row: Scaphoid, lunate, triquetral and pisiform. Distal row: Trapezium, trapezoid, capitate and hammate. The wrist joint has two main components: radiocarpal and midcarpal.
