Formula-fed babies typically poop three to four times a day, but some go as long as three or four days without a bowel movement. As long as your baby's poops are soft and passed without a struggle, you don't have to be concerned.

Stool frequency in babies varies, so don’t put too much stock into how many times a day your baby “should” be pooping. Babies can poop as frequently as every feeding or as infrequently as every two to three days.

Too frequent bowl movements can mean your child isn’t absorbing enough nutrients during the digestive process while infrequent movements are a telltale sign of constipation.
