Expungement of Criminal History Records. To have a Kansas criminal history record expunged the event must meet the criteria provided in the state statutes listed below. K.S.A. 12-4516 municipal courts and expungement of certain convictions, arrest records and diversion agreements.
Fees will range from $50 to $200 for misdemeanor cases in city courts. Once the petition is filed, victims and police are notified and given a chance to object. If your request for expungement is denied, you have the right to a hearing before a judge.
