At Sew DIY, it’s important to us to provide an inclusive size range. In 2019, we started updating our patterns to include bust/hip sizes from 32 to 58 inches (81-147cm) and to be drafted for a height of 5’10”. Currently, all of our patterns are drafted for this size range.

7 Μαΐ 2022 · Sewing pattern heights. This year’s chart includes links to each company’s body measurements/size chart (if they have one or a link to a pattern with the size chart), the height they design for, maxiumum hip size, cup size, and size range.
3 Σεπ 2019 · I also really like both Megan Nielsen patterns and Seamwork patterns so that extra bit of height built in might be why. And if you happen to be petite (or just sew for one), check out SBCC Patterns who designs for 5′ 1″ and Amy Nicole Patterns who designs for 5’4” and under.
1 Δεκ 2023 · To dress well as a tall girl, wear high-waisted or waist-cinching styles, which can help give you an hourglass figure and make your body look proportional. Also, opt for patterns or different colored tops and bottoms, which can help break up your height.

20 Μαρ 2018 · Most commercial (and lots of indie) patterns are drafted for a 5’6” (1.7 m) woman with a B cup bust. As a 5’3” (1.6 m) woman with a D cup AND short-waisted to boot, I’m already at a 3″ (7.5 cm) deficit in height against this “standard” woman.
Women. This is designed for women who are between 5ft 5″ to 5ft 6″ tall (without shoes) with larger bust and hips than Misses. Petite. These patterns are designed for women with a shorter back-waist length, and a height of between 5ft 2″ and 5ft 4″ tall (without shoes). Fabric suggestions.
