As others have said though, the solution seems to be to search from messenger not directly in the conversation itself. Your chat history is not lost. The move to end-to-end encryption means that messages are stored on your devices vs Meta servers so you need to backup your chats with secure storage.
Whatever options I use for the "enter PIN", nothing seems to work. I've granted Messenger full power over my Phone, but it still doesn't seem to be enough, to push through the notification from my PC/Laptop for syncing chats.
Hi! After Facebook forced end-to-end encryption to some of the chats in messenger I can't access chat history. Does anyone know how to fix this?
19 Ιουλ 2022 · In browser > Search Messenger box in Chats. From within a conversation > More Actions > Search in Conversation. In the iOS or Android app, tap Search. To download your message history, use the Facebook Download Your Information tool under Settings.
