Restore chats with a PIN on a computer. If secure storage is turned on, you’ll be asked to enter your PIN when you log in to messenger.com on a computer. Enter your PIN to restore your chat history. When the Messenger app is open on the phone and I select Enter PIN on Laptop/PC, it will show me a generated code with a popup in Phone-Messenger. Entering this code on Laptop/PC will make the system go into "loading" for almost a minute (or more), only to come back with the most Meta-Excuse: "Sorry, something went wrong".
